Re: Col. Buck Greene

Kevster: I must be honest, without my soldiers, my success would have been limited. I had a very unique policy, where I placed the welfare of my soldiers first, rather than mission first. My soldiers were very well aware of this, and always made sure our mission was completed. They in fact, had the ...

Re: What original series script would you want to see redone

perfectlykevin: When it comes to Hawaii Five-O original scripts, I thought the remake of Hook Man, was incredible. As to the Magnum reboot, I would want to see Unfinished Business, and Did You See the Sunrise? Both of these were very high intensity episodes, showing what Magnum was capable of. Death...

Re: Amy Hill cast as Kumu

This may sound a little odd, but I had to research Amy Hill, as I'm not familiar with who she is. I looked IMDb, and while her list of performances seems impressive, I wouldn't know her from Eve. When looking at her IMDb list, I found that I had only viewed two or three of the television series she ...

Re: Col. Buck Greene

I for one, am glad to see the return of Buck Greene. While Magnum had numerous run ins with Buck, the character added a great deal to the Michelle story. Lance De Gault's depiction of Col. Greene provided much of the back story of Magnum's Vietnam service. While Buck Greene was a thorn in the flesh ...

Re: Possibility of a Magnum PI Open world game?

I'm not a gamer having lived too many "adventures" in the real world, but the creation of a Magnum, P.I. game, could make me one!

Re: 1911

I too am a long term fan of the 1911. It is one of the classic firearms, recognized the world over. At times, I carried one in the Army, and carried a Series 70 Colt Combat Commander as a duty weapon in law enforcement. With the same "manual of arms", there wasn't a learning curve between the two. T...

I thought the politically correct term was "graphic novel".

Re: New Magnum on Mondays! And new trailer!

Conch: I just had to add another condemning 2 cents about the trailer. Seeing T.Q.s Mini Mag trailer (wonderful job), in the CGI ending, I noticed there isn't any "rotor wash" in the final scene with TC's helicopter. Mini Mag's hair is near perfect, despite the car chase, destruction of Robin 1, and...

Re: Stephen Hill

Besides "Ivan", there are a lot of other characters that could fill the villain role. In particular, I always wanted to see some true resolution to Quang Ki (Season 8, Unfinished Business). The last we saw of him, Ki is getting on board a UH-1 Huey, being exchanged for a POW. I felt that particular ...

Re: Jay Hernandez

To get an opinion of another Magnum fan regarding Jay Hernandez, I asked my spouse Mrs. Rands watch the trailer. Her comments, like always were straight to the point. She stated, in her opinion, Jay Hernandez lacks the physical presence to fill the role that Tom Selleck played. She felt that Zachary...

Re: MM Poll - Would You Watch an Episode of the MPI Reboot?

I agree with Styles about an Ultimate Magnum Fan review featuring the one and only Conch Republican! It should be a live event, with questions and comments by the members. Having the reboot producers/directors present would be a wonderful bonus!

BTW, I'm one the maybe side.

Re: New Magnum on Mondays! And new trailer!

Conch: Several years ago, when a sports semi final playoff series ended a day early (I believe it was the Dodgers), CBS who had been televising the series, ran an episode of Magnum. It certainly was a surprise, as it was prime time on CBS! I was watching the program with the in laws, and when the th...

Re: Ferrari

I too have a Ferrari 308 regret. After the second former spouse and I split, and experiencing the joy of having disposable income once more, I was very close to buying an early 80's 308 in 1999. Our residence had been sold, monies had been split, and she wasn't spending both my income and hers. Feel...

Re: New Magnum on Mondays! And new trailer!

Magnum ILWU: Thank you for posting the trailer. I too, kept an open mind regarding the reboot. To say that I was disappointed with the trailer would be a gross understatement. Perfectlykevin's remarks as to "swipes and jabs", is perfectly phrased. The reboot tries to make use of many of the symbols ...
