Re: Parody
This reboot is an embarrassment; it is baffling that it has lasted 3 seasons so far. From the terrible casting of the new Magnum and Higgins, to the contemporary era cliches of network television storylines, it is a joke.

Re: Inside the Eve Anderson Estate
Thanks for posting that for quick access. Since it's on a website that could disappear at any time, I have archived all 30 photos. As with NotthatRick, I still can't believe it's gone. So sad. A friend and I wanted to buy it and turn it into a B&B. Oh well. Any chance of posting any here? The link ...

Re: Reviews
Sorry to the fans of Mini-Mag but can’t resist posting when I see this. It’s part of another review. The network that produced, aired and renewed the jaw-droppingly dreadful reboot of “Magnum P.I.” now revives the exceedingly mediocre “Man With a Plan” (9:30 p.m., TV-PG) for a third season. http://...

Re: So . . .
I did not watch, but I am happy to hear the remake is getting universally trashed. Hopefully it gets cancelled. A remake could have been intriguing had it been done tastefully with appropriate casting, but the network went with a formula that included all of the expected 2018 cliches, and it will pr...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
It appears Eve let the home, particularly its interior, fall into disrepair. One wonders what that would have done to any attempt to have the property listed as a historic place.

Re: The Trailer
I like Jay Hernandez (those wanting another Tom Selleck should know that that was never going to happen. There is only one TS and that is TS). Hi Coops ! :D I agree that there is only one Tom Selleck, but I don't think anyone here asked for another TS, just a better choice for the role of Magnum. T...

Re: The Trailer
It will be interesting to see if the guy talking to Jay at the 1:42 mark will be Tanaka. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0idfAmSwns Of course, Tanaka couldn't be an unassuming older guy, he had to be some Asian male model. Surprisingly, Tanaka is not a transgender. The network is clearly trying to...

Re: The Trailer
The reboot is like a caricature of all that's wrong with modern Hollywood. Conch Republican summed it up best: NO SOUL. They COMPLETELY missed the spirit and the vibe of the series. A nuanced relation of grudging respect between two veterans? Boooo-ring. Let's make Higgins a hot babe and have lots ...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
The gatehouse still stands. How about the "guest" / boathouse? The gatehouse seemed to be the structure in the best condition; perhaps it will remain permanently standing on the property. It will be interesting to see what Nesbitt ultimately does with the property. Will anyone be surprised if a new...

Re: Anyone Change of Heart?
That line of reasoning did not work with Hawaii 5-0. Several years later, the atrocious superficial reboot is still on the air.Kevster wrote: So, I figure that by Season Two, maybe they will have realized that superficial TV will not create a broad-based, loyal, and passionate fan base.

Re: Anyone Change of Heart?
I will not be tuning in. I saw the trailer and it was nauseating; every cliche associated with contemporary network television was present. Slow-motion action scenes with vehicles flying in the air and characters firing weapons while keeping balance as they go off a cliff; the new petite, female Hig...

Re: There is only one Magnum
My view is that I'd prefer it if they left well alone and didn't try to make any kind of reboot/re-imagining/sequel. However, if ABC/Universal are so determined to follow the trend and reboot Magnum, then a sequel with Lily is the least of all evils. But if they rebooted Magnum in the same way as t...

Re: Stories they could have done
Some sort of collaboration with Steve McGarrett/Hawaii 5-0 would have been entertaining.
