Re: Vaurnet's "TOM" sunglasses
I bought the "Toms" and have had them for about a month.
I've had and still have a couple Vuarnets from my skiing days, I am very fond of Vuarnets, top notch quality, optics are amazing. I'm not sure what happened, the Vuarnet company seemed to disappear for a while, then a few yrs ago or so, re-appeared, maybe someone bought their assets and restarted the company.
I am very happy with my Toms, they are a tad tight, which can be adjusted at an optic shop, I have a big head. The leash that comes with them however is not up to quality, it broke almost right away. I remember Magnum wearing the glasses with the leash often.
Anyway, as a big Magnum fan AND Vuarnet fan, this was a no brainer for me. I will probably buy another pair of Vuarnets, different style. Yes they are a little expensive, but they are actual glass lenses that are made in a process that is complex, glass is much better then plastic lenses, I think.
Take care, Jim

I love my Vuarnets, after buying the Skilynx Aciers they have become my sunglasses of choice. I own seven pairs of Vuarnets in various styles.

Think they pay a licensing fee?
"How fiendishly deceptive of you Magnum. I could have sworn I was hearing the emasculation of a large rodent."
