K Hale, I hadn't seen this in a long time. thank you. You are right, it was touching.
Many times there are nuggets to be mined in otherwise average episodes of TV series or movies. For instance the very best - and extended - version
of Abbott & Costello's legendary comedy bit "Who's On First" appears in one of their lesser films, The Naughty Nineties(1945).
The Baseball Hall of Fame and the Smithsonian Museum have radio versions of the routine preserved for all time, if any of you are interested.
But do yourself a favor and watch the movie version, you will laugh till you cry. Maybe it's free on You Tube?

Why did they hire an actor from New Zealand to play one of two American brothers? I found that hard to get past. I couldn’t tell if he was trying to hide his accent or not, which isn’t a good sign.

And the nostalgia for the old carnie days just didn’t work on me either. That scene in the office where Inky waxes poetic about the good old days was INTERMINABLE.

Very bad synth variations on the theme song while Magnum is cleaning in the Tower of Terror before the geek shows up.

What’s up with the geek having something pulled up over one of his eyes in this pic? Just another bizarre moment from a bizarre episode.

Another episode that’s new to me which is generally a treat. This episode seems like Magnum does Scooby Doo with a dash of Scream thrown in.
Yeah, the plot’s a bit shaky here and there but it was goofy fun.
Certainly more watchable than Rapture that preceded it.

It's basic, but I enjoyed it.

I recognized HIggins right away, and was surprised when there was a "surprising reveal". "What, I wasn't supposed to know it was him?"

Also, Higgins just showing up in disguise and hanging around would just not work. Everybody knows everybody.

I think it was a missed opportunity for TM to show his honorable character, for him to say to Gus in their first scene "you know, you don't have to wear the mask on my account".
