Hey hey, I'm new here... This has been bugging me forever, does anyone know what is the song playing around the beginning of the episode when Tom Hanks scales the fence at the estate (Higgins locked him out at the front gate). It's the same song at the very beginning of each episode during the preview of the show, just before the opening credit song starts. I love that tune but I'm surprised I never see anyone talking about it online. I was surprised it's not on the audio page here either!

I know the music he’s referencing. It’s in the previews and happens to be used here as TM drives up to the gate. I don’t know what it is titled, if it even is.

I'm relieved to know it was an innocent mistake. I'd be lying if I said my fingers don't often type independently of what my brain tells them to do, especially on my phone!

Tom Hanks is ubiquitous these days.... someone is probably working on a deep fake with his face swapped out for Selleck's.

And Selleck for Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones!

Welcome among us Kakaako7 ! :magnum:

Here is what is written on the website episode notice: " 1 When Magnum arrives back from his case, finds the gates locked, goes over the wall, etc., the musical score in the background is a complete version of what will become the standard theme for the opening episode previews, starting with the next episode, "Skin Deep" (1.6). This theme will be re-recorded several times. This instance here is the only time that it is heard in full. (Noted by Jay-Firestorm)."

I guess that tune was composed by the Post/Carpenter duet.

I haven’t bothered dredging through all the previous pages of this thread, so I risk a redundant statement with the following:

Ed Grover (Agent Hooker) also played a bumbling government agent with an equallly bumbling sidekick in a few episodes of Quincy, M.E..

I don't think the Secret Intelligence Agency "SIA" is a real thing. When you see those two guys show a badge, it says SIA. I guess that's also fiction just like the NIA is for Magnum. Might be worth adding that to #9 on the summary page if need be - but correct me if I'm wrong.

I’m new to the site, but have been reading it for several years. I grew up in the 80s and watched Magnum during it’s initial run. I have the dvd set and watch an episode or two most every night. This episode is one of my favorites. Robin Deardon is the best Magnum Babe. Hands down. Just sayin...

Watched this episode again last night and something stuck with me, would Magnum really have thrown his bag over the wall with Robin's camera in it?! Obviously it wasn't damaged but I find it hard to believe he would've tossed it like that. The second thing I noticed was when TM pulls up in the Ferrari as Higgins is washing the Audi there seems to be a large rock that appears behind the front wheel of the Ferrari, presumably to keep it from rolling.
That reminds me of the time....
