Yes, those Walthers are great guns, very solid and nice shooters. In one episode, Higgins has a little trinket box and in it is a SS insignia badge, so I guess Higgins does have a few war trophies and relics.
It made me do it Higgins!!!

Holy crap! It's the mother lode [notice the correct spelling of 'mother lode'] of MPI guns! :)

I had no idea there was even a "Internet Movie Firearms Database" out there! Cool!

I stumbled onto it a couple of months ago. I'm a gun nut so it was a great discovery for me. I'm glad you guys liked it.

Very interesting! Though it's hard to know how accurate all those choices are without screenshots and explanations. :?

Great investigative work on the id of all those guns! Firearms certainly aren't my cup of tea, but interesting nonetheless.

I spot-checked a couple and havn't found any errors so far. For example, the site lists a Browning O/U 12 gauge shotgun being used for skeet-shooting in "Tropical Madness". Sure enough, Jennifer Chapman is seen using one!

I always that that Lena committed suicide, adding further to Magnum's depressd nature at the end. No gunshot heard in the episode...

At the very end, when Higgins says, "There will be no wild parties, no outrageous liberties, no unauthorized overnight guests!", the audio is noticeably different, and of poor quality. I originally had this down as a flub, as 'audio sound quality flubs' have occurred before in other episodes (although rare), but someone recently emailed me saying that they believe this was intentional "to recall the speakers in the Nazi [concentration] camps, as Higgie is the Nazi to the poor Magnum..." Interesting observation, as the audio does kind of sound like it's coming through a beat-up megaphone.

What do you guys think?

I'll have to go back and review the end to see what I think, but that is a very interesting point James. I should have time to do that this weekend.

i watched this episode last night. Interesting observation about the sound quality of Higgins's raving. I think the sound quality was to reflect what Magnum heard, as he was walking away. In one ear and out the other.
Comparing Higgins to a Nazi! Ha ha ha!!!! Poor Magnum.
I just don't give a damn!

What about the first episode, where Higgins referred to the tide pool as a "DMZ"?!!!

Yeah, you're probably right. It's very odd though that they chose this episode, at that particular time, to do something like this with the audio. The episode has a "Nazi" theme, and Higgins was just talking about his time at the Nuremberg Trials. In any event...
