Just a plain fun all-around episode this one.
Sir Algernon Farnsworth is the cutest mutt.
He actually made me always want an “ugly” little dog.
I think mutts make the best pets though people seem to prefer pure breads for some reason. Some friends of mine who now live in Colorado had a similar looking mutt they found and took in. They already had a beautiful shepherd called Kapua who was a nice dog. They called the mutt Fugly, I kid you not, but he was the friendliest little guy. We’d sit around the fire pit in their backyard at parties and Fugly would hop into my lap to be pet. This was over 10 years ago, maybe closer to 15, so I’m pretty sure they’re both gone now.
I just recognized the lead actress in this episode in a Charlie’s Angels episode, Hula Angels. I’ve never seen her in anything else, and she appears again in Hawaii. Hmmmm?
It was brought up as a question early in this thread about Algie being the same dog as One Eyed Jack in Tales of the Gold Monkey...yes it is the same dog. I did not see any further comment on that question. Cute dog, but seems like he was dragged around by the leash quite a bit. The scene where he jumped into the Jimmy looked to me like he was yanked in. I had read somewhere the dog trainer was not the most friendly with animals...that was on Tales of the Gold Monkey...I think it was the lead actress made some comments about the guy in a YouTube video.
