IMDb lists DONALD P. BELLISARIO as a writer of this episode, but I question that, as I have found quite a few errors from IMDb over the years.

This is in in the top five episodes of the series in my opinion.
Excellent acting all around, and a strong script we haven't seen 20 times before. The VA scenes were particularly good.
And the powerboat was way cool, James Bond worthy, does anyone have any info about it? I want one!
The series has gotten squared away, but there are only 9 episodes left. If the ratings are good- series with new content are rare currently - could it continue on some network somewhere?

I have an idea the opening fantasy of Magnum as The White Knight is actually making fun of the over top antics of Reboot Magnum in year one. Of course I am probably wrong, not many series
are that self-aware.
