It looks like one of us has priority viewing and thinks this episode is average at best.
I guess the rest of us will have to wait until Monday to put in our votes.

These titles are extremely imaginative. I cant wait for the two part season finale "Die Dead" followed by "Die Dead 2: Die Deader."

Watched a bit tonight. First time in 3 weeks.

So I guess Mini-Mag can’t do much on his own?

Shiggins still always babysitting and doing favours?

On to some football.

No interest in how this ends.

More eye rolling  in this episode.......bad guys with high powered guns firing away at the Ferrari and can't even put a scratch on it. This was followed later in the show with the three bad guys turning on each other and killing one another.  I don't get that kind of writing!

Nuzo makes another appearance in a flashback.

Magnum finds Juliette's necklace that means so much to her. The inscription says Love R.......Magnum asked her if Robin gave it to her, but she said no....I'm sure this will be another story for down the road.

TC's Island Hoppers shirt also come in yellow in this episode.......I'll pass!

I am wondering if the reboot mystery about Robin Masters might be if he and Juliette have a romantic past.
I hate to say it but I am liking both of the Island Hoppers shirts. Nothing against the original, I just have never been a t-shirt guy.
I know what you mean about the gun fire but it seems to have taken over the movies as well, bad guys have bad aim.
I was also don't think Thomas would have gotten away with disobeying orders from his superior resulting in two deaths...
Still, I didn't think it was terrible...(Of course Juliette in the tidal pool helped)

I thought this was a step back from the past few episodes. It seemed on par with the pilot, and I don't mean that in a good way.

For what it's worth, I thought the acting by the core cast and by the two brothers (William and Billy) was solid, but the gangsters were ridiculous. The script and dialogue was also poor.

<Magnum and buddies disobey direct order, go to get doctor in the field: "You're our only hope!">
<Doctor dies, no punishment for anyone else.>

Also, I agree the high powered gunfire is getting old. Use strategically, please.

In the scene in the helicopter TM shows Bobby the message from Willie on a smartphone after he puts the headsets on Bobby. Just how does anyone hear the smartphone??? Was it plugged into the headset or something that we could not see or at least something I could not see???

I agree that the gunfire scenes were absolutely ridiculous. At least he did not get beat up this time and Shiggins did not "ride-along."

This drove me nuts, too. I was looking carefully for a wire or something, but no.

The flashback scenes were not so great, and the writers were trying really hard to find parallels with the current case in order to create depth. It felt forced to me. Didn't care for this episode.

Yes, it will be interesting to see how Robin's story evolves. Juliette did say the necklace wasn't from Robin, but why would Lenkov pick the initial R to put on the necklace. I'm sure he wants us to keep tuning in to find out.....hmmmm....Perdita's real father is named Robin.....maybe it will be a story about Higgin's father......a total guess.

I agree the gun fire and bad aim by the bad guys has taken over the movies and I understand viewers love action, but make it more realisitic!! Some of the firepower they use in these movies is so big that it would hard to miss your target, yet the good guys can dodge them all.

I don't mind the red Island Hopper shirt, but the yellow one is a wee bit too bright for me..... 8) Did you notice the big Island Hoppers logo on the side of the chopper? I prefer it without, like the original.

I also agree with your disobeying orders comment....there is no way he would've gotten away with that under the circumstances.

I didn't like how Magnum and Rick just walked right through airport security without showing some kind i.d. either...not going to happen. At least have them being escorted through the doors by Rick's contact. I also found it funny that they were in such a rush to catch this guy before his plane left, yet have time to stop walking and talk about what happened in the service.....come on!

I thought you would like that tidal pool scene!

LOL! Good one, Marlboro.
Just an aside, but does every episode have to be written like a comic book? These never ending gunfights occurring on a weekly basis, over the top
badly written bad guys who stepped out of a 1930's Monogram serial, Magnum and pals going rogue while on active duty in a war zone, this is kids stuff.
Can't we have a nice regular homicide with a average Joe bad guy, a bank heist by some little old ladies out of Agatha Christie or even a Skip Trace which
is what takes up the majority of PI's time in the real world.
And could they please hire a retired CPO to advise on the scripts? When I was a kid the TV series Combat! was well received because almost everybody behind the
scenes was a WW 2 veteran. It was the only show my veteran father and uncles could watch without picking everything apart. As opposed to the Battle of the Bulge flick which apparently was filmed in the sweltering Great Desert of France during what was supposed to be the worst December for snow in 30 years in western Europe.

If the smartphone was near Magnum's mic then you would hear it similarly to talking into the mic, just as any passenger, or the pilot, could be heard talking into the mic by those wearing headsets. That's why he put the head set on him first, otherwise the phone couldn't have been heard over the engine and rotor.
