Who’s watching the reboot premiere tonight?

In my position as Majordomo of this site and sometime radio & TV guest as the Magnum, P.I. Superfan, I feel I have an obligation to watch it so I can tear it apart intelligently.

Were I not the bearer of such heavy burdens I would prefer watching a fish tank.

I was going to post a similar thread.

I'll watch, maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow via Hulu or cbs.com.

I don't expect much. I expect to hate it. I expect that it's going to be ridiculously overdone, requiring tremendous levels of suspension of disbelief. I expect it to be completely PC.

Hopefully I'm surprised. We'll know before long.

I'm predicting that in spirit it will be very much like Five-Zero. Lenkov will just do lots of copy-and-paste from that show to this show. At least one thing I can count on is some beautiful scenery in HD. That's about the only plus I can think of. That's the only thing Five-Zero has going for it.

So yes, I will watch at least the pilot and then scoff... "Tomas-Hernandez, you are just short schoolboy using schoolboy tricks. I had you pegged as impostor for 3 months and still you crack jokes."
