What would be some of your picks of guest appearances from the cast that never happened?

I would have loved to see Larry Manetti & Roger E. Mosley on Battle of the Network Stars when Tom Selleck was the captain of the CBS team.

Or Tom Selleck on Columbo as the murderer.

John Hillerman as guest host on SNL would be great too.

Tom Selleck on Cheers would have been cool since Ted Danson was in an early episode of Magnum P.I. Tom could have played an ex-teammate of Sam's that had a rivalry of some sort with him...maybe over bedding the most women or topping each others practical jokes or maybe both things.

Clue is one of my all time favorite films. It always strikes me that it seems like John Hillerman somehow should have been in it. It just seems like the kind of movie he would be in, full of great character actors. It even has three people in it that he was in other things with: Eileen Brennan, Madeline Kahn, and Colleen Camp.

He could’ve played any of the male roles: any of the suspects, the motorist, the cop, or especially Mr. Boddy, because I think that guy was the weak link of the film. I’ll reserve Wadsworth for Tim Curry though. Too iconic.
