Enjoy the ride. It's awesome.

In "Luther Gillis: File #001" Robin gives Magnum a computer access code, it's "Rosebud", I tell ya, the Magnum writers really knew how to work the little details! I saw that episode right before joining this site and "My little voice" told me that was my log on name!

Hello all.

I've been lurking on this site long enough I thought that I should say hi here.

A few months back the missus and I would watch an episode of Magnum each day with dinner. It was a damn sad day when we reached the end, with Rick getting married and Thomas re-enlisting. Along the way though we thoroughly enjoyed the adventures of the gang. Like a lot of people on this forum, I enjoyed the earlier seasons the most, but they were all great.

Watching the series again after so many years I think the aspect that impressed me the most was Hillerman's portrayal of Higgins. The writers did an impressive job on Higgins' character development over the seasons, and as I get older he is actually the character I admire the most. His fine moral compass, his sense of honour, his loyalty to his friends - such fine qualities. You could certainly do worse than to ask yourself "What would Higgins do?" when faced with a difficult situation.

Anyway, you lot have a great forum here and I've enjoyed reading the news and views.
