Is it my imagination...

Or has there been less activity on the site as a whole for the past few weeks?
Just wondering...

I agree. I don't think things have been as active. Maybe Magnum needs to return to Sleuth, WGN, or something of the sort to help boost interest among most people.

It's not your imagination. The number of 'views' on the forum has decreased in each of the last several months. Such is the nature of forums.

New members are still popping up, though. ;)

And to be honest with you, I have not watched a MPI episode in a couple of months! Especially now with the new TV season started, we simply spend our time watching first runs shows. When the weather gets colder we'll probably bring out the MPI dvds.

My excuse is that I moved on September 29th (after 17 years of my wife and I having seperate residences, mine a loft downtown and hers a house in the suburbs, we decided to finally consolidate give up the Loft and save money) and I have been having a beezer of a time getting my computer back on line with my wifes wifi set up. It was so much easier with just good ol' DSL..........I'm doing this on my sons lptop, but I want my computer back with all the passwords saved in the system!!!!!

Well, I've been here; that might explain everyone else's absence...

Ok Steve, you're excused. ;)

Little Garwood, I checked out your blog. Primo, man! Primo! You are an excellent writer. It's bookmarked. :)

Thank you! I've hit a bit of a dry spell lately, but hope to turn things around soon.

Well, I'm planning my holiday to Hawaii so am back in Magnum mode after a long absence. It's great to be reading up on one of my favorite TV shows again.

Hey, Dan! Good to see ya again! :)

Have the dust storms subsided down there?

For those that don't know, Dan is the one who did the awesome MPI avatars: http://magnum-mania.com/Pics/Avatars.html

That would be great (I enjoy watching it on networks even though I have all the DVDs). Retro TV Network lost a couple of affiliates, one in New York, so fewer would be able to see it that way.

The good news is Hulu is hosting season 1! I would definitely support viewership figures by watching it there, and share the Hulu link with your friends who haven't seen Magnum P.I. yet.

I've added the Hulu link to the site.

I should add that although the number of hits to the forum have been (slightly) declining, the number of hits and unique visits to the main site have been steadily increasing each month. This is mainly due to the increasing number of sites that link to MM, the increasing presence of MM on various Google (and Yahoo) search pages and Wikipedia pages. A lot of the images on MM also show up in Google searches, which helps increase traffic.

I get emails from people not on the forum all the time, so the site is doing well. It has more traffic than I ever could have imagined when I started this thing!

G'day James!

Things are good in Australia- the dust storms were extreme. We woke up one morning and it was like being on Mars! We're heading into summer here.

My wife and I have started watching an episode of Mags each night- we're still holding off on watching Season 8 which neither of us have seen yet. Don't want it all to end just yet.

Planning our visit to Hawaii and been using Rubber Chicken's amazing research to establish some key locations we can't miss.

The site has a whole lot more information than when I was reading it last.

Guilty as charged.

I check in from time to time, but not nearly as often as before.

With the new TV season beginning and football, I've put my Magnum watching on hold partway through season 7. I haven't had much to offer in the mean time.

Sorry!

First it was summer travel; then I started a new job. Now that the weather is turning cooler here in New England, I'll be back on line more often. I've been waiting many years to finally see season 8...I think this winter will be the perfect time. I'll share the experience with the forum.
