HGTV's: A Very Brady Renovation

#1 Post by KENJI »

Did anyone catch this special where HGTV purchased the Brady Bunch house for way above asking and renovated it to make it look like what we saw on the show? Sure they had to add footage to the back of the place and get creative with Greg's attic bedroom (really in the basement), but all in all not bad.
Nice to see they were able to get the cast to join in too, a fun experience for all involved and endless opportunities going forward. The whole time I was watching all I could think of was....I wish HGTV would've purchased Pahonu and done something similar.....granted Pahonu's asking price was much higher and I doubt Selleck would've participated, but I'm sure Manetti and possibly Mosely would've been in the mix. Part of me would've hated them to rip down walls and add footage to Pahonu, but I would've preferred that to what really happened to our beloved Pahonu. Timing is everything and at the time Eve was selling Pahonu, the Brady reno wasn't even on the radar...if Eve only had a crystal ball and could've held out until now Pahonu may have had a second life....like I said the timing was off which is too bad!!

I watched it and was pleasantly surprised that I liked it as I am not much of a viewer of renovation shows. I read they are going to do a holiday special episode as well....
