Any info on Visual Entertainment Inc. (DVD distributor)

#1 Post by MagnumsLeftShoulder »

Does anybody know anything about this company?

https://www.visualentertainment.tv/

I want to order this https://www.visualentertainment.tv/coll ... ction-7064, but I've never heard of this company. Are they legit? I have the first season of Early Edition on DVD; but the picture quality is horrible, very dark and shadowy and some of it you can't even see. CBS only released 2 seasons and because season 1 looked terrible, I refused to buy season 2. Apparently, I was not alone because seasons 3 & 4 were never available.

I have VEI's DVD releases of In Search Of... and McMillan & Wife. Both releases are of good sound and picture quality, though the "bonus" disc of The Snoop Sisters would not play accept for the pilot episode.

Picture quality varies on their other releases because I don't think they do any remastering themselves, instead depending on whatever the original producer has done. I have read negative comments on their Barnaby Jones box set (content edits, poor prints, etc.). I cannot comment on their other releases, so I suppose your mileage may vary.

I would love to hear somebodies comments on this box set as Early Edition has always been in my top ten of beloved shows. If you have H&I channel on your cable they run eight episodes back to back, and in order every Tuesday. Tomorrow the cycle starts over with episode one at 11:00am CDT,,,,

I have directv so I don't get H&I. I've got an antenna but it doesn't find any channels anymore; I guess the trees have grown a lot since it was installed. Even if it worked, I'd still have to buy a recording device since EE is on in the daytime. So, the $40 DVDs are a better deal. I hope Amazon will carry them because if they turn out to be junk, the return process will be easier. Amazon does carry other VEI releases.

The reviews of their other releases on Amazon are kind of a mixed bag, but I'll probably take a chance on them. I've waited forever to get this show and it's a decent price for a full series. Now, I want somebody to release Kyle Chandler's other show that nobody remembers Homefront. That's where I discovered him and he's still my favorite fictional baseball player. Jeff and Ginger are my second favorite TV romance behind Thomas and Michelle. :D
