JL McCabe in Chair - Jake and the Fatman

#1 Post by duvduv »

It was a major disappointment....no one expected Conrad to be running around like he did in Cannon, but after Season 2 most episodes showed him sitting down and not doing much, usually in his office. Then there were the episodes where he hardly appeared at all, or when for some reason Derek Mitchell was taking up the slack because Joe Penny was apparently unavailable.
Any thoughts on this? How could a show be maintained for 5 years when the major player spent most of his time in a chair?
Then it was hard not to notice by the 4th season that Conrad had what seemed to be missing teeth on the lower jaw.

If Ironside could do it, then why not?

Yes, but Ironside was on the go. Most of the time McCabe is just sitting in his office. The theme doesn't anticipate it. You get my drift.
