The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson

Starting tonight July 1st on TCM they are airing episodes of the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Every Monday this July TCM will air several episodes hosted by Conan O'Brien .

I just got The Vault Series - Volume 1, includes 2 episodes from 1972 including the original commercials. I hope they release many volumes in the near future.

Funny how years ago SNL started to do skits trying to show just how square Johnny's show was compared to The Arsenio Hall show but then a few years later did skits showing how Arsenio had become (or was) nothing more than a caricature and causing the ultimate demise his show. Sometimes we don't know how good something was until we see it again years later..............
