I've used this one and it's pretty simple! https://imgbb.com/
Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

Testing, testing...JP and Mackie from what appears to be a photo from the sessions of their 1984 TV Guide cover.

Works perfectly. Great photo!

As for the series itself, I am hesitant to "pull the trigger" on picking up seasons 5-8 of S&S. For many reasons, I associate the show with my middle school years, when it was the show most of us remember. From what I've read about those latter seasons, S&S was another victim of "Miami Vice-ification", eschewing its light touch and moving towards too many "serious" episodes. If anyone's seen those last few years and can confirm or deny the tenor of the program during that time, I'm all ears. Is it still worth getting?
Having watched seasons 5-8 once again, I must retract the above statement and fully endorse Simon & Simon's eight-season greatness; I think the entire series is superb! There isn't a weak season to be had, and that includes season five, which I initially described as the least of the series; far from it!

I've started reinstating all the lost photos in their original posts.

Here is the article from the above TV Guide, from the week of June 18-24, 1983.

It's an excellent article which captures the chemistry between the Simon & Simon stars. It's also a reminder of how good TV Guide was once upon a time.

KingKC wrote:The amazing thing about Simon and Simon is that I watched it as religiously as MPI including summer reruns and latter day reruns (in the nineties) but when I currently read through the episode descriptions I cannot remember the shows anywhere near as well as MPI episodes. I have always wondered why there was such an affinity with MPI over Simon and Simon. I just wish they would bring Simon and Simon back on reruns somewhere as I am not a DVD or Blu Ray fan. I am sure I would be hooked again. The supporting/recurring characters like the mother(Cecelia), Janet, Myron, Downtown Brown and Lt. McMurty were all memorable as, of course, was Rick and AJ. I think it had the best opening instrumental theme song ever. even better than MPI!
As far as I know, the last time Simon & Simon was in syndication--on a widely-available channel, that is--was on A&E circa 1999-2003. It's not uncommon for the viewing public to forget episodes when the shows haven't aired in many years, but it all comes back once said episodes are watched again.

I'm near the end of a second season re-watch--it's been two years or more since I watched the whole season--and now even the less memorable episodes become memorable, so to speak.

Pop culture memory is a short-term thing, and it needs near-constant refreshing to stay in the public's mind. Simon & Simon is pretty much forgotten these days, despite its previous status as a top five show.

TV Guide ad for the 1995 Simon & Simon reunion TV movie, In Trouble Again .

Original airdate: February 23, 1995. Variety wrote a positive review. Sadly, this reunion film did not lead to future Simon & Simon TV movies à la Perry Mason or The Rockford Files.

I see that all has been quiet on the Simon & Simon front; I'll have to resume my obsessive, enthusiastic blabber on the series...

I wonder if they updated the case study to:

Wonder if we’ll ever get an HD version from iTunes? I’d buy in a minute.
