I thought it was WoFat at first and then I figured the writers wouldnt paint themselves into a corner with a no win situation.

Did anyone have a clue that their was a head in the box on last weeks episode? I thought after the arrest of Mr Big it might have been a retaliation against McGarret and carry a personal message. Glad to see I was wrong.

Pretty cool episode last week. The show is slowly growing on me. A tiny bit. Still on the fence.

They kind of ripped off the big scene in Se7en with the "head in the box" though.

Did anyone watch the episode where Steve and Dano are watching CHiPs reruns and they both wanted to be Ponch and then Kono swayed them into wanting to be the blonde guy (John)? I'm thinking they will want to be Ponch now, as Larry Wilcox (John) is being sentenced in Florda for securities fraud - Book him Dano!

Premiere in Australia was last week- I missed the first episode, but caught the second last night... damn it's great to see a series set in Hawaii again. I'll have to avoid this topic to stay spoiler free... already read a few things here I shouldn't have.

I managed to find it yesterday! I think this is my new show to watch! Loved it!
Having never seen the original, I'm not comparing.

It seems to have a combination of everything that is good about Magnum, humor, action and Hawaii whilst being character driven. 8)

Slowly catching up to you Yanks. At Ep 8 now.

The worst thing about this show is the intro- that Hawaiian Air tail logo is taunting me to get on a plane and go there as soon as I can. Definitely planning our next trip now...

Another MPI reference on last nights show: Dannie's brother (Dane Cook) asked, "Why the interogation Magnum?" or something to that effect.
Also, Clyde Kusatsu was on the episode.

I did catch that and chuckled. Lot's of open ended stories for the future of the series with another one now being Danno's brother on the lam and of course what is going to happen between Danno and his ex, Wo-Fat, the missing money, etc....................

His ex is so hot it is impossible. And she was in a bikini in this one.

Claire van der Boom is Australian. Along with Alex O'Loughlin, have to admit some patriotic pride! 8) We're all good looking down here.

You're in Australia? I'd love to go there, though I'm sure it's not as glamorous as it sounds, just like Hawaii. It can't be all beautiful women, scenery and places. I'm sure there's plenty of downsides. Like having a Koala poop in your apartment.

Yep. Sydney.
Koala poop isn't much a problem, thankfully.

We are a bit out of the way for most of the world. It's just us and New Zealand down here. You get used to long-haul flights heading to Europe or the US. Nine hours to Honolulu from here isn't bad though. 8)
