Here are two places that carry Rolex & Chronosport style watches and other military style watches...

Great observation. I'm with you on this one. Long live the Chronosport!

Here is a little information you might find interesting. I have done extensive research, and discovered that there is no such thing as a Swiss Rolex replica. They are all Asian copies of the Swiss ETA movement. The replica site linked to in the Magnum Gear section is charging three times what a very good quality Rolex replica should cost. In my research to find the best replica GMT Master, when the globalreplica site is mentioned, the pharases "Rip-Off artists, and Avoid like the plague" Keep coming up. The "Perfect Clones" site comes highly recomended. They have a Rolex GMT Master II that is as good as replicas get for $278.00 http://www.pc-80108.com/rlgs10009-retro ... -3493.html and for those who want a replica of the original GMT Master (The one worn by Thomas Magnum) they offer this for $248.00: http://www.pc-80108.com/rlgv10005-vinta ... -4117.html
I really like the vintage look of the "Vintage" GMT Master, but the plastic crystal scares me. I think I'm going to go for the "Retro" GMT Master II because it has the sapphire crystal. It's not the exact watch worn by TM, but more durable and close enough.
I don't want to step on any toes here, just trying to get the best information for M-M members.

Took a look at the Perfect Clones website, to look at some watches I am familiar with. If what you see is what you get, those guys are great!! Thanks so much for all the work that went into finding them. :)
Higgins: You've washed the car?! How extraordinary. Why would you do such a thing?

Ah, thanks N. I've updated the 'Magnum Gear' page. I feel bad now that I was using a "shady" link for the Rolex replicas.

I decided to remove the authentic Rolex link and just use the new replicas links. How many people have enough dough lying around to fork up over 4K for a watch!?

Don't worry about it James. The replica business is a shady one by nature. It is illegal to make and sell counterfeit watches anywhere in the world. However it is not illegal to buy or own one. Go figure. Even with reputable replica sellers, you take a chance. I have checked the many replica websites and forums and gotten what I believe is a non-biased opinion as to which replica is the best, and which seller is the most reputable. I urge anyone who buys a replica to also go to this site: http://www.replica-watches-guide.com and read, read, read before making a decision.
As for the genuine Rolex GMT Master, the one worn by TM has been out of production for many years, and if you can find one, they go for around $16000.00. The GMT Master II has changed significantly, and is no longer available with the red/blue "Pepsi" bezel. Some are still available at dealers stores like the one I tried on a couple of weeks ago, but they are going for around $6000.00. Many of the Rolexes being sold on Ebay and other online auction sites are replicas being advertized as genuine. Bottom line is, if you want a watch like TM's I feel it's best to just buy the replica. You aren't going to pay a huge price, and you know what you are getting.

When I was in the US Navy in '07 and stationed in the mid east, I just so happened to be in Dubai and in the Mall of the Emirates. While there, I stopped in the Rolex shop there and picked up a GMT II. Great price (no taxes) and have worn the watch throughout my travels.

Today, I was checking eBay and came across a Chronosport Sea Quartz 30 which I promptly bought! I have been looking for one of these for years. What a find and at a great price. I cant wait to try it on.
...and that, as they say, is the hell of it.

Score! If you don't mind sharing, how much did you get it for?

That seems remarkably cheap for a real one! Fingers crossed.

This one is up on eBay now. The one I picked up seems to be in better shape but Styles may be right. Hummm...

Wow! I think you may have scored an awesome deal. The band looks pretty cheap, but the timepiece itself looks like the real McCoy. You'll probably want to get it serviced before taking a swim to check that it's air tight. Let us know.
