Very sad to hear that, indeed. Thanks for sharing, Sam. I didn't know him other than through interactions here, but I always felt we had a similar connection to the show.

Steve joined the forum on July 27, 2007 and last posted on July 21, 2022. That solid 15 years of participation is Hall of Fame worthy and - if I'm looking at the stats correctly - makes him the longest ever regular contributor to the forum at this moment in time (closely followed by Sam, Doc Ibold and N1095A).

Back in 2008, he shared some photos of his trip to the Estate with us, including one of him and his wife and the one of him and his son on "the slab" which he used as his Avatar. Of course, mine is of me and my son on the beach around that time also, so we always had that connection. Steve often wrote of his son on this forum and it was clear he was nuts about him. I hope he has a chance to look through the forum one day and discover this quirky world his dad contributed so much to.

Thank you Sam and thank you Styles. I remember those pictures well. That was back when my now adult children were around that age. My condolences to Steve’s loved ones.

Hi Guys..
Steve and I were on a MPI board together back in the 90's before migrating here. Those that knew him would agree he was Bigtime MPI fan.
Styles, I agree it would be nice if his son found the board , I think his son knows Pops passion..Check out this obit..MPI is mentioned..

Also one thing he and I would discuss was the Minnesota State Boys High School Hockey Tournament ..High school hockey in Minnesota is big..Like high school football in Texas...

One thing he never failed to mention was the HAIR TOURNAMENT ...He always got a big kick from this..so this year's results..
