Loved Herb. Loved WKRP.

A fantastic character.

Knocking my rubber chicken or my sloppy habits is within the rules, but you're attacking my character. I would like to think you don't mean that.

Never watched this show. My show from that period is THREE'S COMPANY! Still holds up amazingly well.

Both are, actually. Check it out. Similar vibe. Lots of sexual innuendos and quirky characters.

I'm not big on sexual innuendos. I like more clean humor. Luckily THREE'S COMPANY was pretty tame, certainly compared to stuff that came later - like MARRIED... WITH CHILDREN for instance.

Without sexual innuendo, Three’s Company would be five minutes long.

I’m a big fan of both shows. The whole premise of Three’s Company was based on challenging the sexual standards of the time. Jack had to pretend to be gay to even be allowed to live with two single women. Mrs. Roper was starved for sex. Mr. Furley thought he was sexy to all the ladies. Chrissy wore T-shirts that weren’t exactly loose. It was considered very racy in its time, even controversial. WKRP had less of that than Three’s Company.

But Loni Anderson screen time counts double!

I always liked that Jennifer was really sharp unlike Chrissy’s dumb blonde stereotype.

Quick question - do you guys prefer the Ropers or Mr. Furley?

Being a huge Don Knotts fan (going back to TAGS) I always preferred Furley but over the years I've decided that I love both evenly. Stanley and Helen were a riot and of course Furley is... well... Don Knotts!

Here's an interesting video I recently came across. Apparently Andy Griffith disliked the show and Knotts being a part of it. Apparently he felt it was beneath his talents. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZWCZFeI2DI
