Just to clear up any misconceptions, I am not in Key West, unfortunately. (I did get away a little over a week ago for Buffett & The Eagles in Orlando however!)

I am channeling the spirit of the Conch Republic though, typing away in my office with a playlist spinning tropical tunes in the background.

Barefoot Holiday by the Brent Burns is currently fading, replaced by Red River Rock by the Ventures.

Mrs. Conch and I have yet to enjoy any of the Independence celebrations. We usually tend to avoid events that brings crowds . . . yet we always tend to visit over New Year's. :-/

I do have a couple of Conch Republic shirts though, my fave from the '92 10 year anniversary shindig (which they continue to reprint) says "Growing Old Disgracefully" on the back. Fitting!
