As a life long Floridian, I know all too well the fear and at the very least, inconvenience, these storms can cause. Don't take any hurricane lightly, but try and have a good sense of gallows humor about them, if that makes sense.

Been watching that too.

Anybody have a link to a good site that tracks this stuff?

Best case scenario is that they track north, then out to sea before landfall. Guess the next 48 hours will tell.

The National Hurricane Center site is basic, but it's still the best.

Thanks LG.

Looks pretty straight forward-matter of fact alright.

As good as any and probably better than most.

Pay particular attention to anyone who looks even remotely like Edward G. Robinson :)

Heard on the evening news that there was a 5.2 on the richter scale earthquake on the big island today. That doesn't sound good anytime, but as a "precursor" to two hurricanes....sounds even worse.

Anybody on the islands with an "eye-witness" report?

footnote: Looked it up and the report said it was a 4.5 and most of the folks interviewed said they hardly felt it....but still it WAS an earth"quake". :)
