Re: The Now Playing Thread!
Great pic Sam! GREAT song! Physical Graffiti is my favorite Zep album. I always thought that it was so strange that "Houses of the Holy" didn't make onto the Houses of the Holy album! It was supposed to be the title track. But that's how it was back then. So cool that you got to see them in '69! That must have been epic!
Your pick makes me fire up Physical Graffiti! I hope you don't mind? It's been a while since I've listened to it. First choice, and favorite from the album, "Down By The Seaside", which is another oddity, because it was originally supposed to be released on Led Zeppelin IV. The bridge in this song is just incredible! Zeppelin just makes me smile every time I hear them. What a great band!

When talking Physical Graffitti I'm "that guy" who likes the odd track like this . . .

But my fave tune off the record is probably this . . .

I feel like Pearl Jam's career can be summed up in the intro guitar tone of this one . . .

Definitely feeling those Physical Graffiti songs, Conch! Great picks. That whole album is just incredible!
Wow, really loving that Plant-Jack White rendition of "The Lemon Song", Sam! Hadn't seen that before! Really like Jack White. He's a phenomenal guitar player and songwriter.

.. if you haven't seen it give 'It Might Get Loud' a look... it's available on Netflix streaming.
Guitar greats Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White discuss their own musical histories and styles, eventually meeting up to play each others' songs.

This may be the wrong spot to post this there seems to be a lot of Zep fans.. this is a interview with Robert Plant from an Australian TV station 60-minute type of interview. The interview was only 16 minutes.

Are we supposed to believe that the people in the other car knew that song? Or were they just amused because he was signing out loud and doing some air guitar? Either way, pretty damn funny!MagnumILWU wrote:

This is from the TV show, The Middle. That's his wife and kids in the other car, and they can't believe he is doing this!J.J. I know. It's just a little odd. At first they seem horrified of the song he's singing (he's not really doing much in the beginning but singing softly and tapping the steering wheel). That kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I mean, come on... Who doesn't like that song? That song crosses generations and will be loved forever!
