How interesting! But wonder why Schock would say Tom Selleck was the difficult one?

Unfortunately, this doesn't surprise me. It saddens me but doesn't surprise me.

I can't imagine why Selleck would be singled out as the "difficult one". As far as I've seen in the last almost 30 years he's always been a nice guy.

"The real money came from Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen and restaurateur Randy Schoch. "Selleck and Larry weren't really owners," recalls Schoch. "We just gave them some stock to use their names."

Well, if you gave them stock and used their names, they're owners!

"At the time, they were powerful names. "That night you couldn't rent a tux in Honolulu," recalls Schoch, "or a limo. And we rented out all the upscale Porta-Potties in town."

Sounds like Randy has sour grapes.....

Oh, and I would say Tom Selleck is still a pretty powerful name. And what the H!ll is an "upscale Porta-Pottie"?

"Selleck was the difficult one. Larry would do stuff like order Louis XIII at $150 a shot and then put it in his Coke, which we had to talk about."

Um, if he's an owner and paid for it, you can put whatever the heck you please in your Coke.

If I was Tom Selleck and I had to deal with this blowhard, I'd be pretty difficult too...

I don't know who irritates me more, this guy or Vanneman.....

(Although it is amusing to see that "Aloha Magnum" isn't terribly accurate - glad I didn't spend any money on it!)

Hi Doc,

I took it to mean that Manetti wasn't paying for the shots, hence the need to talk about it.

And I agree,if they had stock, they were owners.

If Randy wasn't going to elaborate why Selleck was the difficult one,why bring up? Sour grapes.

I've been to a few events and these are considered "upscale potta-pottie's"

Yeah,

That would be pretty sketchy if he wasn't paying.

Its like Manetti is Magnum in real life!

I take this all with a grain of salt. Who's to say that this guy is telling the truth? I don't really care what this guy says...and WHO is he anyway?? No one I've ever heard of. That's his opinion and he's entitled to it. :D

Gotta agree with SL on this one. People will almost always tell a version that puts them in the best position. If you asked all four about the same time period, there would be four slightly different versions. Hmmm....sounds like an episode of MPI.....I Witness :)
