Yeah, no joke. I would get tired of all the paparazzi hanging around REAL QUICK. Yet, here is Selleck, after 30 years of this, still posing for pictures with fans, chatting with the paparazzi, smiling, joking around..... Amazing!

As that one guy said, "He's the best". :)
Higgins: It's not a scratch! It's a bloody gouge!

I thought the dogs were going to have takeout also.
Like Tom's comment on manners go along way.
Didn't recognize their friends, but did Tom call her Joy?
I know it must get annoying putting up with the questions and cameras.
Don't think I could have kept my cool like he did.
Was concerned with Tom and Jillie standing in the street, not safe, but it was either the punkarazzis or dodging traffic while wondering where in the heck is my car?
I would love to know what they were saying when they finally did get in their car. It could have went something like this.
Tom: I better put my seatbelt on or it will be all over the news tomorrow.
Jillie: I've just got to put the doggie bags, my purse and my coat in the back before I can drive.
Tom: Will you just get us the heck out of here.

I think it speaks volumes on his part that people still want to take pictures of him after thirty years. A lot of actors don't hang around that long.

Steve wrote:... Tom coming out the door saying "Hi guys" had me cheering.
It occurs to me that when Magnum says "Hi, guys!" he's usually faced with Zeus and Apollo, or a couple of hoods (including the obligatory sumo-size Hawaiian), or Rick & TC wanting to be paid. Or else he's wanting a favor from Rick and TC (despite not having paid what he owes them).

In other words, I think Magnum usually says "Hi, guys!" when he's nervous about dealing with a situation. So I'm wondering whether he said that to the group of fans because it's a Magnum trademark, or because they made him nervous?

In any case, that was pretty cool!

CTD,

VERY good point! Seems his "Hi, guys," sort of substitutes for "Oh, sh*t . . . ."

golf
"Portside, buddy."

It's already been said, but it's worth saying again. What a classy guy!

Loved the "Hi Guys".

Golf asked why Jillie was driving. The answer is obvious, she's a good wife.
"But Higgins, I can explain."

There are many reasons why Jillie could have been driving. When my husband and I drive somewhere together, I ALWAYS drive. He has a slight, (Hmm, how can I put this?) shall we say "road rage" problem that I don't really like and when we go someplace, I always drive so we can have a nice uneventful ride. He back-seat drives, (which, BTW doesn't bother me) in other words, tells me what lane to get in, when to change lanes, how fast to go etc., and it works for us! (Maybe that's why we have stayed married for 35 years!!) I dunno...just thought I'd share! :D

Maybe they do it the same way we (hubby and me) do it. I drive when we take my car, he drives when we take his.
So it`s perfectly clear who can drink wine and who is supposed to drink water the whole evening 8)

So, how do you handle it?!
BTW, we only own my car ( a FIAT, I wanted to have one, cause Ferrari is part of Fiat :D )My husbands car belongs to his boss, but we can use it privately too.

Jillie may have been driving because it was her car. My husband and I do that, as does Carmen. Or (heaven forbid!) Jillie may be the better driver. Our hero may have a flaw that we know nothing about :?:
Higgins: You've washed the car?! How extraordinary. Why would you do such a thing?

Awww...I loved the "hi guys" comment. I love that he still says that!

Tom seems like such a normal guy with the doggie bag and all. Loved that he took time to take pictures and talk to fans. He also seems very close to his wife. I love that she drove. My thoughts on that were that maybe Tom had some wine with his dinner? I thought his speech sounded a little different...faster maybe due to a few glasses of wine?

Another thing I noticed...the paparazzi always seem to show him respect. The guy's an icon. Great clip of a great guy. Thanks for sharing it.
