Selleck Lover that is nothing but good news! You get to hang out with your kid. What could be better than that? I hope you continue to recover and have an exemplary bill of health soon!

Thanks, maggie! Those are great. I'm so glad to see that he'd gotten rid of that goatee/Van Dyke -- whichever or whatever is the correct term. We saw it in the Madeo video, but I'm happy to see it "reinforced" here -- that hopefully it's gone for good. The only time he looked good with some chin hair was Quigley Down Under, IMO.

But he sure looked mean when he was firing that starter pistol!!!

Kahunagirl,

Thanks for that link.

I wonder why he's always doing that goofy smile with the chin all wadded up, wrinkled, grimaced, whatever you call it. It looks like that fake, closed-mouth grin you do when you're irritated and someone says, "Smile," and you smile just to shut him/her up. His usual smile with slightly parted lips looks so much better, IMO.

Also, more pictures here

More Pix

A lot are the same ones from Getty but there are some other ones too.

Going back a little past these current May 10 event pictures on that Getty Images site, I wonder if he played at the Target golf tournament, though it didn't appear that he was wearing golfing clothes. Maybe just an appearance to help raise funds?

Also, back even further in those pictures, I wonder where we can find "The Paley Center for Media Presents 'A Conversation with Tom Selleck' " that was mentioned. Surely it was taped. I don't recall hearing anything about it. Anyone know anything? Any youtube clips or whatever?

Someone on eBay had tickets up for auction for the Paley Center event, and that's how I knew about it. It probably was taped, but you'll most likely never see it on television because TS is a conservative politically. I saw the coverage of the Mother's Day Marathon on our local ABC station and they did an interview with Carrie Ann Inaba, but did no interview with TS. They barely showed him at all. The media is very liberal out here, and they never give any attention to people that are conservative. There are a few exceptions, but I can't think of any right now! :D

Tom Selleck refers to himself as "a registered Independent with strong libertarian leanings." As I understand it, that means to a fiscal liberal, he'd look like an extreme conservative, but to a social conservative, he'd look like an extreme liberal. Libertarians believe in liberty -- as do some liberals and some conservatives.

But you're right, many in the media don't like him because he supports the liberty to own guns.

It's funny how many in the media love to remind everyone of the rights guaranteed by the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, but when it comes to the rights guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment (Right To Keep And Bear Arms), these same people want to pretend these rights don't exist somehow.

Seeing the way Selleck looks at 63, there is no doubt that he could slam dunk a Magnum movie. Hollywood is really missing the boat on this one. He is at the perfect age right now to do it. :!:
TS or NO MOVIE!
