Roger E. Mosely stars in the 1975 film Leadbelly tonight at midnight on the Bounce channel. It's the story of the great blues guitarist and singer Huddie Ledbetter. I saw it several years ago and enjoyed his performance and the music a lot. I have it set to record again.
If anyone is interested in Blaxploitation films from the 70's, this channel generally shows one each week on Saturday night at 10:00 Pacific time. Tonight is J.D.'s Revenge with Academy Award winner Louis Gossett Jr. It's a pretty fun romp. I just read an article last weekend about several classics being remade including Superfly, Foxie Brown, and Cleopatra Jones. Leadbelly is right after.

I just watched this about a month ago. It is actually quite a good movie! It is based on a true story as well.

That would be me. For starters, I love the theme from Cleopatra Jones!Pahonu wrote: If anyone is interested in Blaxploitation films from the 70's...
And speaking of Roger E. Mosley, his voice is featured beginning at 0:15 in this cue from Willie Hutch's score for The Mack. It's great music, for those of us who are fixated on the '70s.
