J.J. Walters wrote:Sad news. I've updated the Cast page with his death date. So cool that Jack Lord have him the HFO car! I still have never been able to definitively determine exactly when he was Tom Selleck's Stunt Double & Stand-in on MPI. Tom Lupo was also Selleck's Stunt Double & Stand-in for most of the show's run. Maybe they both worked in tandem together?
Hi JJ,

It looks like you're right about Nordlum & Lupo working in tandem... I just found an article that says Nordlum worked on MPI for eight years. I've posted it in my, uh, let's say "rusty" Misc. MPI Newspaper Articles thread  : http://magnum-mania.com/Forum/viewtopic ... 737#p53737

Awesome, thanks RG! I've updated the Cast page with his years: 1980-1988! :)

Great JJ! I also found this snippet about them working in tandem, posted by a woman who worked on Magnum for several years...

Dang, what DON'T you know, Sam! Yes, that's her, Sylvia Stoddard. She said she worked at Universal in L.A. mostly but also made trips to Honolulu.

That was an old MPI site in the 90s I'll bet Steve remembers her also... I contacted her years ago and invited her to join here she said she would check it out but I guess never joined.
