Tom Selleck on Taxi

I just caught a rerun of Taxi from 1978 and Tom Selleck had a prominent role. The episode was a two-parter that featured the cabbies telling stories about their favorite, now wrecked cab 804, and the unusual things that happened while driving it. Selleck's episode was called : Memories of Cab 804: Part 2. Tom played a rich guy who got into Elaine Nardo's cab for a 140 mile trip and tried to charm her into bed the whole way. It was a pretty entertaining episode. Another story from this episode featured a young Mandy Patinkin in only his third TV role.

Did anyone watch the tribute to James Burrows over the weekend, the casts of a number of his shows were there - when the cast of Taxi was on stage one of the clips they played was from this episode, it showed Henner and Selleck bantering back and forth in the cab. I didn't watch the tribute but happened by it when they were running this clip, ... had no idea Selleck was ever on Taxi.
