According to the IMDb it was from 1983, right in the middle of his Magnum run. He had the full on Higgy Baby accent working. I mean, dead on Higgins accent. If I didn't know better, it was Higgins taking a vacation on the Pacific Princess! But alas, he was some sort of inspector named Manfred Benusse. He solved the crime and got the girl in the end. Good for him! Claude Akins, Tony Dow and Didi Conn were in it. It was fun. Outside of Tales of the Gold Monkey and the Simon & Simon crossover, I believe this is the only TV show guest appearance he did during the Magnum run.

Does anyone have a source for this episode? That season of The Love Boat doesn't seem to be available on DVD and not on YouTube, either. :?
Season 7, Episode 14.

Pretty Sad. Looks like only seasons 1-6 have been released on DVD.

MeTV shows two episodes every Saturday at 5PM EST. Right now they're on season 1. If they show them in order, it will be quite some time before that episode airs again.

Hillerman also appeared in an episode in season 3 episode 11 that is available on Dailymotion.

Yes, I actually have that one. He didn't have much to do, though, unfortunately. :|

I was just lucky, I guess. I turned on MeTV one day (old school, over-the-air) and there it was. :) I cut cable years ago. I'm saving $170 a month now and so loving it. The sports hit is rough, but I've learned to deal with it. ;)

Ok, wow. Turned on MeTV the other day and landed on a Wonder Women episode with Hillerman from 1976. John was in full on British accent mode and got assaulted by a gorilla named Gargantua, who then proceeded to carry him down an apartment building drain pipe, over his shoulder, to the waiting arms of a Nazi sympathizer who was played by Gretchen Corbett (who was in two Magnum episodes)!! *Poof*... Mind blown!

P.S. - WW is a HORRIBLE show! My God, I can't believe I used to watch it. The cheese factor is behind crazy! Lynda Carter truly carried that show. Beauty conquers all, I guess.

So did she save him from Gargantua and the Nazis?

And where's his mustache?!

Of course she did. Gargantua was brain washed by the Nazis bastards. WW saved the day, rescued Gargantua, and then bonded with him (or her). The ending was actually quite touching. When the gorilla suit guy was carrying Hillerman down the drain pipe it was so obvious that it was dummy. His legs and arms were flapping around like a doll! :)

LOL!! Hillerman must have had it written in his contract: "I will not be carried down hill cliff stairs or seedy apartment building drain pipes draped over someone's shoulder... Never! You must use a pathetic dummy in my place!" :)
