True! I don't see how anyone could see a Magnum movie and not think the series is even better. Also, and I think someone mentioned this in an earlier post, it may even create some new Magnum fans from a younger generation.

Not a big deal but rather another piece of the puzzle.

Long story short.A former wife and I looked at some condos in Waikiki about 10 years ago.At one of the building we looked at,the agent told us that Hillerman had a penthouse there for most of the MPI run and a few years after.I was able to verify that Hillerman had pulled a building permit at that address...Here is a link.

I read in my local newspaper that yesterday was John Hillerman's birthday. He is 76 years old. If you're reading this Mr. Hillerman, Happy Belated Birthday! :D

I saw that in my paper as well. I have a hard time picturing him reading this forum, but here goes... Best Wishes Mr. Hillerman, you're in our hearts forever!

Happy belated birthday, Mr. Hillerman. Absolutely loved Higgins, from the first episode!
Higgins: You've washed the car?! How extraordinary. Why would you do such a thing?

I know Mike. I think that would be a very entertaining book. I think any book written now would take on a different perspective than Larry's book since the show is so much further out in a time perspective.

I don't see any mention of John Hillerman's role as Simon Brimmer on the Ellery Queen TV series. Does anyone remember that series? I have a vague memory of Jim Hutton as Ellery Queen. Checked with Netflix when I found this site but they apparently don't have...or there are not...DVDs.

They "think John Hillerman's performance as Simon Brimmer was simply delicious." Now why doesn't that surprise me?

Here's a great picture of Hillerman, circa 1980s...

Thats a great photo of Hillerman indeed. Thanks for sharing James! I'm wondering how he looks like in the present... I remember seeing Hillerman appear on Murder, she Wrote when he looked older.
TM "Rick wasn't overly enthusiastic about my plan. He thought it had some holes in it, and he was afraid they would end up in him...
I told him that was ridiculous."
