Susie Elene

#1 Post by Bernd1962 »

Hallo,

first as you see, I am new in this group and a big fan of the Magnum TV series, who was very successful here in Germany, too.

I remember the actress Susie Elene, I don't know, if it is her real name.

What happened to her, especially what sh'e doing now and where she's living?

Best regards,
Bernd

Welcome to the forum

I'm not sure, she's probably just taking it easy on the islands as a local. Or she could be involved in theater in Hawaii like many of the other actors did, or are doing today.

That's what Keoki's character (up to his aparent death) and Rosine are doing, among others.

Hello Bernd1962, welcome to the site!

I can't find any current information on her. I do know that "China Doll" was essentially her last TV or film role after a short career. However, the good news is that Revenge of the Cheerleaders (1976) is now available on DVD. ;)

She actually had a few character roles on some older Hawaii-5-0 back in the day. HI Ho!

I remember seeing Suesie Elene on ' Magnum P.I ., she was very beautiful
she played the part of ' Mai Ling ' very well

I loved watching Magnum P.I .with Tom Selleck and Larry Manetti both handsome
men back then.

It was one of my favorite shows

There is the new Magnum P.I reboot , I
haven't seen it .

Its not nearly as good as the original

Mr. Shim - you say that you haven’t seen the new Magnum, PI but that “it’s not nearly as good as the original”. In my humble opinion, you happen to be right. But if you admit to never having seen the new version - then how on earth could you possibly know that it isn’t as good?

Spurred by a question on a Facebook MPI fan page, I stumbled across a reference in the archives of an old Japanese American Newspaper:

She apparently was a 3rd generation (sansei) LA Native who's real name was Setsuko Iijima. (Father Robert Iijima or Iijimas).
