It looks like Hillerman signed it for MacKay, but I can't make out what he wrote.
Dear Jeff,

I've never looked thinner. Thank you for this moment.

Or something very close to that.

If you don't look too close at it you can see what he wrote clearly. Silly me.
Thanks Tralfaz!!
:D :D For some reason I just really really like this picture. :D :D
Jeff MacKay was just so great. Look at his expression. Priceless!

I agree with you. I think the banana split and giant waffle cone only add more humor to the picture! Perfect! :D

Oh yes! I failed to mention that I caught JH in Blazing Saddles in the role of Howard Johnson. I had forgotten how funny that movie actually was. Brilliant acting job on JH's part!

Blazing Saddles is perhaps the best comedy film of all time.

JH is one of my favorite actors of all time. He is a great artist. A much better actor than even TS...sorry, big guy! His work as Higgins was phenominal. Hats off to JH!
Who's Dot Matrix, and what has she got to do with this?

Sorry man, but Selleck is WAY better a thespian than Hillerman. For one, because he's still active. Not only that, they used to play off each other's chemistry.

Selleck is a thousand times better than that dude who played Luther Gillis!!!!
I just don't give a damn!

Honestly, I think JH is able with more variety of characters than TS

On the other side, TS in the role of MAGNUM is perfect!!! :)

Both are indeed great but JH is by far the actor with the better range. That's why he played how many different characters in the show?

Look how many characters Eddie Murphy played in the nutty professor movies. I'm not going to compare him to TS or JH because he's on a different level!

Hello, all .
For my first post on that great site, I choose this thread, because
John Hillerman is definitely the reason why I love Magnum ;-)
He have work a lot to get his character real, and, thanks to the writers and to all the fans of the show, that alchemy with TS have done 8 seasons.
So, here is the reason of my post:
I wanted to send him a birthday letter last year, and didn't do it, because I read here and there that he wanted to keep his privacy .

But, is it really the case ?
his adress is public, it seem, easy to find. (or may be an perfect homonym ?)

He have exactly my father age, and I think that we never told enough to people that we love them, and one day , it is too late.

So, here is my proposal : We could do one common letter, with all people who like him here giving some words for him, and send it, to his agent and his adress.
So, we will take only a small part of his time, and everyone here could say thanks to him, for all those laughting he have given us.
This will disturb his privacy only one time, but will let him know that he is in our heart for ever.

What do you think of that idea ?

(sorry for my bad english, but Magnum's fans are all over the world ;-) )
I think also that, if by any luck we get an answer, this answer should be shared only by senders and KEEP private by them

Hell, come up with a site-wide letter/birthday card and I'll go give it to him personally! :D
