Here'sa CBS Fall 1977-78 programming promo featuring The Betty White Show, which inclludes you-know-who. It starts about 50 seconds into the clip. It's proof enough that JH was auditioning for JQH his entire career.

I watched the Clint Eastwood classic "High Plains Drifter" recently and was suprised to see John Hillerman in the movie as a bootmaker/shopkeeper. I havent watched the movie in ages and didnt remember him being in this role. His western accent reminded me of the MPI episode where he played one of his long lost half brothers in town with a traveling rodeo.

http://www.amazon.com/HILLERMAN-FREDERI ... 424&sr=1-5
Is this a book on the Hig?
I looked all over the internet for intel, but I can't find a cover pic, incl going to the publishers site.
Anyone with book savvy have any intel??
....if the link doesn't work for some reason, go to the amazon book department and use this search string - "john hillerman FREDERIC P. VANDOME"

Did you ask him if he was writing a book that would be great!higgybaby1 wrote:After some intensive reasearch, I found that John Hillerman does not live on a ranch but rather a quiet shady street in Houston. I sent him a lengthy fan letter with careful sincerity and discretion in the text and I recieved one back from Mr. Hillerman. He asked that I not share his address and is quite explicit about his privacy. The letter is brief and non-descript but his appreciation for enthusiasm after nearly 20 years is evidenced. Although he did not sign a photo, he did sign twice at the bottom, "Jonathan Q. Higgins," (ink stamp pawprint) "The Lads," then finally, John B. Hillerman.
If you must contact him, there are several sites that list his address but I prefer to keep his wishes and I do not mean to be greedy. At any rate, the correct address is the Bade street version.
