I received my cap the other day, I love it! I'm looking forward to wearing it this weekend when I take the kayak out.

And let me make clear again:
If Downing would have ever succeeded to recreate the cap, I'd gotten one of them from them.

I have started to do one cap for myself and have done more for people that asked for caps.
I am not making any money out of this - just helping others.

A few years ago I spoke with Keone Downing to inquire about the hat. He told me they no longer had the hats and really didnt plan on reissuing them. I see no problem with you recreating the hat for true MPI fans. I dont believe Downing would either. From his angle it could only mean free publicity for his store. Good work on the hats. I look forward to getting mine. It's the one Magnum hat I have not been able to get.
