The best and weakest episode of each season

I rank the best and worst episode of all seasons according to my taste.

Season 1:
Best: "Skin Deep 1.6"
Worst: "Missing in action 1.9 (probably my least favorite episode of the entire series)".

Season 2:
Best: "Computer date 2.14" / "Texas lightning 2.18"
Worst: "Dead man's Channel 2.2".

Season 3:
Best: "Past tense 3.5" ( my second favorite episode of all time, i don't know why many hate it ) / "Did you see the sunrise? 3.1 and 3.2" (the only feature film / two parts that I care a lot about)
Worst: "Basket case 3.15" / "Two birds of a feather 3.20"

Season 4:
Best: "Limited engagement 4.5" / "Letter to a duchess 4.6"
Worst: "A sens of debt 4.8"

Season 5:
Best: "Luther Gillis: File 001 5.10 (my fourth favorite episode of all time)"
Worst: "Blind Justice 5.7 (I know, some like it but for me how it unfolds is damn boring)" / "A pretty good dancing chicken 5.22 (definitely the weakest season final)"

Season 6:
Best "The treasure of Kalaniopu'u 6.9 (my third favorite episode of all time)"
Worst "Going home 6.7" / "Deja vu 6.1 and 6.2 (perhaps the weakest of the features)"

Season 7:
Best "Paper war 7.8 (My favorite episode of all time)"
Worst: "Limbo 7.22"

Season 8:
Best "Pleasure principle 8.2"
Worst: "The love that lies 8.6 (Another one that others like , but when I look at it I'm bored to death)"

Dead Man's channel is one of my favorites

Me too! The Horace the goat subplot involving Higgins and TM is one of the funniest of the series. Plus, I enjoy the native Hawaiian storyline and all the boating and diving scenes. The only let down is TC is not present, the only time in the show.

i know some like it, but i found the plot weak and at times a little boring. Sorry to those who love it but (apart from the b plot of the goat) I just can't bring myself to like it. There are worse ones (particularly in season 5) but at the same time it's not one of my favorites

I am with Ivan on his choices above...except I think whichever episodes had Carol Burnett in them were the absolute worst. Girl Named Sue is the worst of the series...IMO, worse than Smaller Than Life. That one had some redeeming value. I did like Going Home since there are some familiar sites around Tidewater...(Norfolk).

Gotta give Thomas Tinto credit for originality. I've never seen "Dead Man's Channel" on anyone's worst list. As for "Computer Date" I never even hear that one being mentioned at all (though I like it). I also like "Past Tense" but I've never seen anyone call it their favorite of the season.

I also never understood why "Missing in Action" gets so much flak. Is it the ESP stuff? Because otherwise it's a pretty solid episode, with a good 'Nam background. Plus we get the debut of Mac and Lance LeGault sort of gets his warm up for the Buck Greene character that he would later play. Plus I had a major crush on Rebecca Holden growing up - from her Knight Rider days.
