Great work Marlboro! Here is a challenge for you, the famous "did you see the sunrise" turn and shot by TM along side the Archer parody of the same scene.............

Re: Animated gifs?
Your gif is a still image. When you get to the very end and are exporting your pic in GIMP, make certain that the "As Animation" box is checked. Honestly, I'm impressed that you made it that far considering how labyrinthine my instructions were.
p.s. Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'll give them a shot soon.

Re: Animated gifs?
I have checked the "as animation" field already - (you mention it in your description )
The problem seems to me, that in Gimp, there is a stack of pictures but I only one is highlighted and is then transferred into a .gif file.
I fail to find something to flag all pictures that i've imported into Gimp.

Re: Animated gifs?
All of those separate pictures are just "layers" or "frames" of your animated gif. Let's experiment a little. Grab two or three screenshots and "open them as layers." Make sure your Layers box is visible. If it isn't just go to Windows>Dockable Dialogs>Layers.
Do you see two or three different layers? make sure your screenshots are actually different and not just the same image repeated. By clicking on the little "eye" icon you can make them visible/invisible. They will all be visible when you export your gif.

I'm not entirely satisfied with these, but....Steve wrote:Great work Marlboro! Here is a challenge for you, the famous "did you see the sunrise" turn and shot by TM along side the Archer parody of the same scene.............

I have opened the pics as layers (I am working on a Mac) and this is how it looks.
I don't have the toolbox on the right and fail to find a command to open it.

Bondtoys.de: To open a new tool box do this. Open GIMP. Hit "Ctrl + B" or go to Windows>Dockable Dialogs>Toolbox
The "Layers" box is different. To find that, just go to Windows>Dockable Dialogs>Layers.
