That's one connection I didn't even know about - I was thinking of Isabella Rossellini (White Nights with MB and Monte Walsh with TS).

As I look through this game, I thought the idea was to connect the subject to Magnum PI, the show. Not to a person, or some other TV show, or movie, some one in the cast had been in? Just check out Styles original post!

It's like "Tom Conway"! He was in "Adventures in Paradise"( A Penny a Day) with Guy Stockwell, who was in Magnum PI( The Taking of Dick McWilliams) BOOM, BOOM, BOOM. Can you here the BOOMS?! Tom Conway to an episode of Magnum PI!

That's a BOOM alright! A direct link from Conway to MPI.

As for the other connections not being valid, I think I see what you're saying, but don't really see the difference. Example - my connection Conway to Carey to Selleck I think is valid because Selleck is in every episode of Magnum. Even though he acted with Carey in another movie, the connection, from my understanding of the game, is valid for that reason.

It is possible I have misunderstood the initial meaning however, so I throw it back to Styles for a ruling as it's his idea.

As quiz master, I deem that you are all correct. If you want to make it more difficult on yourself, by all means go ahead - you'll get more Mag Cred if you're inventive and incorporate more difficult characters. For example, making a connection to Larry or Roger E. is more difficult than Tom Selleck or Frank Sinatra - based solely on the variety of roles they've had in their career.

At first I thought it would be more difficult, but you guys blow me away with your connections. For the record, If you can connect an actor to another actor who appeared in Magnum P.I. (even once) that's valid. But you should clearly note what episode and what character they played so we all learn something in the process. Connections can even go for directors, etc....but if you're reaching for the gaffer or grip, I think you're stretching it.

So were we still with Conch's Bruce Campbell?

I'm agreeing that this seems a little too simple. What if we do a "Call Your Shot"?

Aka, name your celebrity and link it with a Magnum PI character (also named up front).

I think Magnum puts KB to shame as there seem to be a lot of twofers you can do (also known as a ConchBoom(r) )
