Great write-up! Love the website name: Den of Geek! :)

Only thing that I disagree with is this statement: "It’s popular to knock Selleck’s acting chops." I'm not sure I've read many bad critiques of Tom Selleck's acting, apart from that Christopher Columbus movie.

(shooting holes in it now...)

"grins sarcastically."
he doesn't grin grins sarcastically. He grins smugly.

Why call it a guilty pleasure?! It is a simple pleasure. Nothing guilty about it.

"It’s popular to knock Selleck’s acting chops," No it is not. Never was. Not that I have heard. Ever.

“Rick” Wright is the manager of the extremely opulent Waikiki based “King Kamehameha Club"
Well of course that is wrong. It is not nor has it ever been extremely. opulent. either/or. (and as we all know. it has not been Waikiki based for very long at all...

"Jonathan Quayle Higgins, the British majordomo of the Masters Estate, attempts to thwart Magnum’s antics at every turn"
Har. "thwart Magnum’s antics at... every... turn..." Not true. As we all know. Higgy baby assisted Magnum quite a few times.

"To me, what is unique about the episode, aside from how much it holds up, is how the characters are fully formed from the get-go."
What da hell?! the fact it is shot solely and exclusively in Hawai'i of the 80's is not "unique"?!
And again, as we all know, Rick was NOT fully formed from the get-go. whatever the get-go is.

Emphatically yes. because it brings positive attention to a fabulous Hawai'i based TV show! Oh yea! and any publicity is better than none at all.
