Sticker on Ferrari

#1 Post by Karrnut »

From another post on this site we know that the sticker on the passenger side rear bumper of the Ferrari, is a Hawaii Tax Sticker (you can get a brief look in the opening).
Does anyone have a close up of this sticker? I would like to recreate it for the back of my Ferrari/Mera.

Thanks

Hello Karrnut , Merry Christmas . The sticker on the bumper rr side is a state inspection sticker . You can find an image at Inspection sticker .net or do an image search for vintage Hawaiian vehicle inspection sticker. I had an image at one time and reduced it to use on a diecast model. Hope this helps.

Had to contact them, since their "stock" stickers only go to 1970.
Hopefully he can make up one for 1978-79. Thanks for the lead, if it works out I will post the result here.

Awesome, thanks again!
The green design looks like a clover leaf, (intersection) are there really any in Hawaii?

Good!
I have only been to the Islands once (MUCH to my regret), and didn't remember any such "scar" on the landscape, keep it that way, please.
If God is willing and I do get another chance to come back, I don't want to see that kind of "progress". Mahalo

Alright the sticker arrived today! I went for an exact match to the one on the opening shot, the month is 1 (Jan) and the colors are also the same. See what you think...

I am still kind of "green" at posting photos, I hope this works.

Sticker looks awesome!

I don't know how they do it in Hawaii, but in Canada you have to renew your license plate sticker on your birthday every year. Is this the same thing or is it a state safety inspection sticker because the Ferrari was just brought over from the mainland and had to be cleared?

Here in the "Frozen Tundra" you get new stickers (month/year) based on when you registered the car. Our drivers license is renewed on our birthday, I just did mine in 2011, and its good until 2019.
