On another forum, where I am a moderator, we never delete anything, except deeply offending or illegal posts (which happens once in a blue moon). There was never anything deeply offending in this thread.
IMHO this sort of behaviour makes this person untrustworthy and I am wondering if he just wanted to get some attention and could never deliver in the first place.
