December 11, 2011 - Dress like Magnum, P.I. day!

#1 Post by ThomasMagnum »

Hi guys!

As you might be aware, on December 11 it will be 30 years to the day since Magnum, P.I. first aired on CBS back in 1980.

I was thinking that in honour of this occasion, we should have a dress like Magnum, P.I. day.

Who's on board? 8)

I really can't get into that. It will be 30 degrees that day here and probably snowing. I can't go out in my boat shoes, with shorts and a polo on a day like that.

I like the idea. But surely there's something more we could do? Perhaps someone more creative than I could think of something collaborative...

Any other ideas are welcomed! This was the first thing that came to mind.

I dress like that on weekends anyway, so it's no biggie for me.

I turn the thermostat up, put on the Buffett and fire up the blender as well!

I'm getting thirsty already. I'll start assembling a Mag outfit just for the occasion...although I'll be sporting my Blue Jays cap (a-la Magnum wannabe R.J. Masters).

It will be cold here thogh, so I'll wear my Da Nang hat, my USN belt and Levi's (which I'd wear anyway).
And my mustache

I have begun a moustache, but it's slow growing. Go big or go home!

We should try and break the record for the # of us on the site at one time which is 52. Now trying to figure out what time works best for all of our time zones is another story!

Does anyone have access to a small cannon like Higgins had? They can give the show a 21 gun salute, better yet make it 30!!!!!

I'm thinking we all hoist a glass a milk in the air with a plate of fig newtons to follow at precisely the time our show started (in our own time zones of course).

CHEERS!!!!!!!!!
