Funniest Moments

#1 Post by IKnowWhatYoureThinking »

Another thread on the Episode topic made me think about this. What are some of the funniest moments of the series. Here are two that sitck out to me:

Magnum shooting down of the Spitfire

Magnum blowing up Higgins' Bridge Over the River Kwai

I can think of more, but want to hear everyone else's. Feel free to agree with these if they are your favorites.

Thanks to Frodoleader for giving me this thread idea with his post in Memories are Forever!

Magnum & Higgins fighting first thing in the morning about Higgins flying his toy airplanes, and during the distraction - Higgins loses focus and his plane crashes. Followed by one of the best hysterical laughs from Magnum.

Every time I see this scene it cracks me up, I keep a copy of it on my desktop - either got it from YouTube or JJ has a copy of it somewhere on this site, I forget.

the funniest to me wasw when Higgins and Magnum were playing practical jokes on each othe rand Magnum called Higgins on the Phone whistling the tune from The Bridge on the River Kwai and then blows it up. that whole episode just cracked me up. second would have to be the episodes with Ms. Jones

all of these having me laughing quite hard! Don't know which I could pick as a favorite since it's so hard (pickled egg please is up there though!).

Some entire episodes are like that too, have me rolling just because of the situation not just the dialog. Magnum trying to sneak past Higgins on many occasions is one of those. :)

I may be in the minority (maybe minority of one!), but I did NOT like it when Thomas blew up the River Kwai bridge. It just reminded me of all the work Higgins and put into it and how much it meant to Higgins. Destroying it was like, to me, if Higgins deliberately broke Magnum's Rolex watch. That's not a practical joke.

The visual imagery of the tiny little bomb detonator and Magnum's humming the song was clever -- but not at the expense of that bridge. To me, that's going too far.

Sorry, JMO.
