Relationships and Magnum fixations
OK, so my wife is pretty supportive of my love for MPI. She doesn't get it, but she thinks it's cute.
So how about you guys? Is it something the two of you share, is it your own private world or is it something in between?

"How fiendishly deceptive of you Magnum. I could have sworn I was hearing the emasculation of a large rodent."

My fiance likes the show, but hasn't seen too much of it. He'll watch it with me and enjoys it, but he's not close to being as obsessed.
He is really good at letting me dive into my obsession because it makes me happy. He listens to me go on and on about some of the episodes and how much I love the characters and I know he's heard it before, but he always lets me say it again! I think it's because there are certain things that help me fight my blues. And I tend to get blue a lot and so he thinks if it makes me happy then I should indulge all I want.
He's pretty cool that way!

My husband of 37 years has been nothing but supportive with my obsession! He even goes so far as to wake me up (if I'm asleep) when TS is on a late nite talk show so I can enjoy seeing him. Or if he's watching TV in another room and sees something channel surfing he'll come in and tell me about it. But now that we have U-Verse and a DVR, I run a search about once a week to catch everything. Upcoming are the TS episodes of Las Vegas on TNT. (Just recorded 3 Men & A Baby, and Stone Cold a couple of days ago!)
My wife is amused by my obsession with MPI. She occasionally watches it with me. We spent our honeymoon in Kona, Hawai'i. Now, we're seriously talking about moving to one of the islands.
Its good to know that she's on board.
On the other hand, she rolls her eyes if I watch STAR TREK.

I just don't give a damn!

I'm not as obsessed as some (most?) of the other people here. I have a couple of other interests that take up much more time. Still though my interest in Magnum is more than casual. Watching the dvds together from time to time is no problem at all, but we'll see how far her tolerance goes when asked to recreate the tidal pool shot in the opening and visit empty parking lots and other locations instead of tourist spots in January.
