The most asked about question:Do you think Higgins is Robin?
Moderator: Styles Bitchley
(after hearing Higgins say he is Robin Masters)
Magnum: That's it?
Higgins: You asked for an answer. I gave it to you. What else is there to say?
Magnum: Well, you could start with why such an elaborate scheme to hide your real identity? Why did you feel it was necessary to pretend you arn't Robin Masters, or that he isn't you? I think you at least owe me that much of an explanation.
Higgins: Tradition.
Magnum: Tradition? (looks at camera) Tradition?
Yes, tradition. Thier tradition of playing one-upsmanship.
Tradition.
Oh, by the way...he lied!

Coops,
Yea, but did he lie about saying he was Robin or did he lie all those years by not admitting he was actually Robin? It can be seen either way.
This is the brilliance of the situation. We are still discussing this 20 some years after the show wrapped!
Cheers.

That's the thing about opinions...they differ.
If you watch the commentary by a couple of the writers on the season 8 disk, they are clear that there was never a real plan as to whether or not Higgins was Robin. It was a great idea to write this in however because look at the turmoil it still produces.
They really missed a great opportunity to make a movie in the mid to late 90s that could have resolved the whole thing.... oh well, the fans are the big losers.
Would the Higgins memoires have made a good movie in themselves? Imagine the possibilities. The Higgins illegitimate siblings alone could have made for a great movie...

I took his remark to mean that because the writers didn't flesh out the story of Higgins/Robin, we the fans lost out on what could have been a pretty good storyline...not that we as fans are losers in the way you indicated.MACattack wrote:Luther Gillis: you just called MPI fans Losers. Typo perhaps?
