Please help to identify this scene from an episode. Please let me know the season and episode it is from.

We see Tom wearing jacket and tie (more formal than usual). He is visiting some sort of a dog/animal shelter. Inside the shelter, he talks to a group of guys and they later fight..... Tom is wining the fight, but is somehow being injected some kind of tranquilizer in his neck by one of the guys. He is seen leaning against the cage as he falls into unconsciousness....... he is licked by one of the dog while he is out.......

I'm pretty sure that scene features the first appearance of what would later become the theme music too.

I love that episode.
