Desperately trying to find out if Agatha really said that to Higgins or if I have just hallucinated for the last 20+ years ... please help!

My first guess would be to say "no".... but the more that I read it, the more inclined I am to say "maybe".

Working backward.... definitely not in seasons 1-3 or 8.

50% down.

I'll let the rest of the forum chime in.

My take is STILL no... but if it exists, it'll be in season 6.

Well, I'm part way through re-watching season six (up to 'Summer School' ATM), and it hasn't been said as of yet.

I can remember the line, too, but not the episode. I believe it means, "Very amusing, Jonathan" said with a bit of irony.
So....Gillian Dobb appeared in 32 episodes, 29 as Agatha, her first appearance in this role was in "Black on White." That get's it down to 29! At 45 minutes per episode it could be accomplished say, by this weekend.
IMBd is such a great resource! I am printing the list just so I know to look for it.

Sad to know she is now deceased as is Jeff MacKay. Mac passed just about a year ago, August 22, 2008 to be exact. I think one realizes that MPI was successful to a large extent because of the wonderful characters and their interactions. Higgins and Agatha. Magnum and Mac. Magnum and TC. Higgins and Magnum......a classic for the ages!!

I was upset too when I read up on her recently and found that she had passed away a few years ago.

Anyway, I'm up to 'Find Me a Rainbow', and it hasn't been said yet. I'll keep my ears peeled... if it's possible to peel ears?

She was 72 when she died in 2001. I am assuming she was the oldest regular on the show next to Icepick.

Don't know if this helps, but Lady Ashley says "tres amusant, Jonathan" to Father Paddy during the dinner scene in "Echoes of the Mind Part 2", when she thinks he is Higgins in disguise.
