If anything was possible, Who would you like to see on MPI?

For all non-episode specific topics about the show, including MPI-related "tie-ins"

Imagine that anyone dead or alive could have been around to guest star on MPI. Who would you have liked to see?

I choose John Wayne.

Hmm, so many to choose from. I'm going to keep mine limited to people who were active circa 1980-1988:

#1 Madeline Kahn - the icing on the cake would have been if they could somehow have worked in a little song-n-dance number for her.

#2 Jack Lord - as Steve McGarett

Others, in no particular order:

Jan-Michael Vincent
Bruce Campbell
Catherine O'Hara
Jackie Earle Haley
James Garner
Pam Grier
Don Ho
Jackie Chan
David Bowie
David Carradine
Faye Dunaway
Lauren Bacall

And many others that I can't think of right now. I'm sorry, did you want just one? ;)

Is there an S-Mart on Oahu? Magnum could have taken a job there like he did at the Day-N-Dark. :D

Jack Lord is a good one. Let's get crazy and say Magnum is hired to find Elvis.

I would have loved to have seen James Garner playing Jim Rockford, with a sly reference to Lance White thrown in........Second would be Jack Lord coming back with Magnum's help to finish off Wo-Fat for good........(don't know how they would work out the Anderson Estate ownership, but it could be a fun side story between Robin Masters and Wo-Fat)

Stacy Keach as a fish-out-of-water Mike Hammer on a case in paradise.

I agree with Jack Lord, John Wayne, James Garner and Don Ho.

I also would have liked to see Robert Conrad..related to Larry Manetti, right? And Jack Klugman in a Quincy-type episode. More Paul Vedier (Jean-Claude).

Good topic...I'll keep thinking. And...they really DID have a lot of great guest stars on this series!

:)

Madeline Kahn

Jack Lord as McGarrett for sure. Also James Garner as Jim Rockford would have been great.

David Bowie

Don Ho would have been predictable but cool. Vincent Price is a great idea and Jack Palance would be another.

Robert Conrad is a great suggestion. What about Bruce Willis?

James Earl Jones?

Didn't they try to get Jack Lord to guest star at some point. They made some references to 5-0 in the early years.

David Bowie is a kick-a$$ actor. Check him out in the 1970's (I think) movie, The Man Who Fell to Earth. (Hope it's available on DVD, now that I shot my mouth off!)
